Gateway Garage elevator repairs begin Nov. 15

UPDATE (11/30/21): So the project may be safely completed, all three elevators will be taken out of service and unavailable beginning Thursday, Dec. 2. They will tentatively remain out of service through the end of December.
During the elevator outage, temporary spaces for those with limited mobility will be installed on the first floor of the garage.
In addition, transportation assistance to and from the first floor of the garage will be available on demand by calling CampusParc at 614-688-0000.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 15, a preventative maintenance project impacting the elevators in Gateway Garage will begin.
Elevator service will be impacted throughout the project. Throughout most of the repairs, two elevators will be down at a time and a third will remain in service. Simultaneous closures of all three elevators may occur.
Impacts to pedestrian walkways and the alley along the west side of the garage are also expected.
A timeline for the project is as follows:
|Monday, Nov. 15||Project will begin. All three elevators will be down for a period of several hours. Transportation assistance during this time will be available by calling CampusParc at 614-688-000.|
|Monday, Nov. 22||The center west pedestrian walkway will close. Detours will be available via the northwest and southeast stairwells. An ADA detour will be available via the south bicycle entrance; cyclists are encouraged to relocate their bicycles from the racks to maintain clear passage for pedestrians.|
|Saturday, Dec. 18||The center west pedestrian walkway will reopen.|
|Monday, Dec. 27 (approximate)||The project will be complete.|
