With The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s resumption of elective procedures, the university has determined that the following changes to the parking system will occur.
Starting at 5 a.m. Monday, May 18, 12th Avenue and South Cannon garages will resume normal operations, meaning some permits will no longer grant access.
Please plan ahead for significantly increased demand and minimal available parking in medical center permit garages, including 11th Avenue and Neil Avenue garages (which are expected to fill during peak times), as well as heavier than normal vehicular traffic and delays near these garages. Alternate surface lot parking will be available in the Letter Lots, West Stadium Lot, and on West Campus. Note: Staff with West Campus and Buckeye Lot annual permits will have access to 9th Avenue East and 9th Avenue West Garages on weekends and holidays as usual.
In support of physical distancing measures, expanded parking access remains in place. All annual permit holders may continue to park at no additional charge in permit garages on Academic Campus by scanning a valid access keycard at the garage entrances and exits, or in Central Campus C surface lot spaces 24 hours a day, including those within walking distance of the medical center. (Please note: Students with overnight permits must continue to park in their designated overnight area during the overnight hours.)
West Campus parking will also be available, and the Med Center Express shuttle will operate with physical distancing in mind. For more information regarding campus shuttle service, please visit Transportation and Traffic Management’s website.
