2022-23 parking permits now on sale to faculty, staff, students

Jun 15, 2022

2022-23 parking permits (valid Aug. 1, 2022 through July 31, 2023) are now on sale to students, faculty, and staff. To order, click "Login" at the top right-hand corner of this page, then click "Compare Permits/Buy a Permit" to get started.

Do I need a new permit?

Permits do not automatically renew from year to year, so please be sure to purchase a new 2022-23 permit if you plan to park on campus on or after Aug. 1, 2022. As a reminder, all 2021-22 annual permits expire after 11:59 p.m. July 31, 2022.

Keep your keycard

Current access keycards will carry over to the next permit year. If you currently hold a 2021-22 annual permit, no need to wait for a new keycard in the mail. If you order a 2022-23 permit, simply continue using your existing keycard starting Aug. 1, 2022.

If you do not hold a current, 2021-22 annual permit but are ordering a 2022-23 annual permit, you will receive a keycard by mail to use beginning as early as Aug. 1.

Access keycards are the only physical pass issued to annual permit holders. They are used for event parking, as well as garage access (if your permit grants it).

Online access to keycard QR code

If you forget your keycard for garage or event parking, we’ve got you covered! Your keycard’s QR code will be available 24/7 via your online profile. Access it by visiting osu.campusparc.com and clicking “Login” in the top right-hand corner of the page. (New permit holders should allow several business days for their QR code to appear.)

Permit changes

Old Cannon Garage, a new facility with 1,100 faculty and staff parking spaces, is slated to open Aug. 1. 24/7 access to Old Cannon Garage will be available to A and BG6 permit holders. With this change, BG6 permit holders will no longer have peak-hour access to Wexner Medical Center Garage.

BG2 permit holders will have 24/7 access to 9th Avenue East Garage. Peak-hour access to 9th Avenue West Garage will no longer be available.

24/7 access to 11th Avenue Garage will remain available to BG3 permit holders for the 2022-23 permit year. Peak-hour access to Ohio Union North Garage will no longer be available. To accommodate this change, we have created a new permit, BG7, which will have 24/7 access to Ohio Union North Garage.

Waitlists

Select student garage permits in high-demand areas will be awarded via waitlist. Eligible students may join a waitlist for the permit they would like to purchase via their parking account. Click here for more information.

License plate policy

Effective July 1, 2020, Ohio law no longer requires display of a front license plate. As license plates serve as parking permits on Ohio State’s campus, and so we can ensure the parking you paid for is used only by other customers who have a valid permit or hourly parking, CampusParc requires that all vehicles park on campus with their license plate visible from the drive aisle adjacent to the vehicle.

Parking for annual and monthly permit holders continues to be monitored solely via license plate readers. To park a vehicle on campus and avoid a possible citation, your license plate must be linked to your permit. We do not check for any other type of displayed "permit" during normal operations. To manage your license plates, log in to your account, then click "Manage License Plates."
