2020-21 parking permits now on sale to students, faculty and staff

Jul 7, 2020

2020-21 parking permits (valid Aug. 1, 2020 through July 31, 2021) are now on sale to students, faculty and staff. To order, click "Login" at the top right-hand corner of this page, then click "Compare Permits/Buy a Permit" to get started.

Do I need a new permit?

Permits do not automatically renew from year to year, so please be sure to purchase a new 2020-21 permit if you plan to park on campus on or after Aug. 1, 2020. As a reminder, all 2019-20 annual permits expire after 11:59 p.m. July 31, 2020.

Changes to permits

Please be aware of changes to some permits that will go into effect with the start of the 2020-21 permit year. Click here for complete details.

Keep your keycard

Beginning this year, current access keycards will carry over to the next permit year. If you currently hold a 2019-20 annual permit, no need to wait for a new keycard in the mail. If you order a 2020-21 permit, simply continue using your existing keycard starting Aug. 1, 2020.

If you do not hold a current, 2019-20 annual permit but are ordering a 2020-21 annual permit, you will receive a keycard by mail to use beginning Aug. 1.

If you forget your keycard for garage or event parking, we’ve got you covered! Your keycard’s QR code will be available 24/7 via your online profile.

New license plate policy

Beginning July 1, Ohio law will no longer require display of a front license plate. As license plates serve as parking permits on Ohio State’s campus, and so we can ensure the parking you paid for is used only by other customers who have a valid permit or hourly parking, CampusParc will require that all vehicles park on campus with their license plate visible from the drive lane beginning Aug. 1. Stay tuned; we’ll have more information to share on this later this summer.

Parking for annual and monthly permit holders continues to be monitored solely via license plate readers. To park a vehicle on campus and avoid a possible citation, your license plate must be linked to your permit. We do not check for any other type of displayed "permit" during normal operations. To manage your license plates, log in to your account, then click "Manage License Plates."

What do I order?

Not sure when you’re returning to campus? Don’t worry! You do not need to order a parking permit right away. You can order at any time; there is no deadline. (However, please consider that some permits tend to sell out quickly.)
