I plan to park on campus…

Parking options to consider…

More than two days per week

Annual permit (biggest discount from the daily rate)

During certain months during semester

Monthly surface lot or garage permit*

One day a week or less

Daily permit or hourly parking

*Monthly permits may be purchased in 30 or 90 day increments, and this year we’ve added the option to purchase our temporary monthly permits in 90 and 120 day increments.

Helpful hints:

  • Log in to view your permit eligibility. Underclassmen may not be eligible for all monthly permits.
  • Hourly parking is another alternative if you plan to be on campus infrequently. You can use the ParkMobile app to pay for parking day-to-day in surface lots.
  • Check out the Visitor tab in SureParc to find hourly parking options.
  • Our new Permit Comparison Tool allows you to compare all of the options we’ve mentioned above.

The table below compares daily, monthly, and annual parking options as well as a daily equivalent rate if you park just three days per week.

*This chart does not provide a comprehensive list of annual permits. The intended purpose is to provide a starting point for comparing permit options. Use the Permit Comparison Tool to view all your options side by side.

**Annual permits provide the largest discount on the daily rate, and they often provide the best value if you park three or more days per week.

All of our annual permits have a monthly proration, which makes it easy to try hourly, daily or monthly parking before deciding what might work best for you. This means you can purchase an annual permit later if you end up being on campus more than you expected.

The ParkMobile app can be used to pay for parking in any unrestricted surface lot space (A, B, C, CX, WA, WB, WC, WCO) across campus, and the Permit Comparison Tool will provide you with details on daily (SD) and monthly (SM, OSM, WSM, GA) permit options.

The Student Payment Plan is available for students purchasing a permit with garage access. The payment plan splits the cost of the permit into two equal payments. Visit the Student Payment Plan page for more details.

Due to the parking permit year ending on July 31 annually, it is recommended that anyone returning to campus prior to that time order two permits this summer: one for the current permit year and one for the upcoming permit year.

A 2020-21 annual permit will be valid through July 31 and may be ordered online. These can be ordered at any time through the end of the permit year on July 31.

Since you are purchasing midyear, payment for the current calendar month would be due online with credit card. Starting with the following calendar month and through the end of the permit year on July 31, the monthly price of the permit will be automatically deducted from your university paycheck.

Permits for the 2021-22 permit year, which begins Aug. 1, go on sale to faculty and staff June 14. All 2020-21 permits expire July 31, so be sure to order your 2021-22 permit year online prior to Aug. 1 if you plan to park on campus in August.

As long as you order your 2021-22 permit prior to the start of the permit year on Aug. 1, the first calendar month of your permit (August) and all following months will be automatically deducted from your university paycheck. If you order after Aug. 1, payment for the current calendar month would be due online with credit card and following calendar months would be automatically deducted from your pay.
