Welcome back, Buckeyes!
As campus comes alive for the new academic year, we’re excited to welcome students, faculty, and staff back to Ohio State. With the start of the autumn semester comes a few key dates and traffic impacts to keep in mind. Please allow extra time for travel and parking during this busy time.
Important Dates and Reminders:
- Student Move-In takes place August 20 through August 23
- During move-in, 11th Avenue traffic will operate as one-way westbound
- Expect higher volumes of traffic and increased pedestrian activity
- Additional road closures may affect your usual route. View the Transportation and Traffic Management traffic impact map to plan accordingly
- The First Day of the Autumn Semester is Monday, August 26. Welcome to a new year of learning and discovery!
- The first Home Football Game is Saturday, August 30. Football game days bring large crowds and limited parking availability. Please plan your commute accordingly and review game day impacts.
- The License Plate Policy is still in effect. Please make sure to park with your license plate visible from the drive aisle. Since parking for annual and monthly permit holders is monitored solely via license plate recognition cameras in surface lots, your license plate must be linked to your permit to avoid a possible citation. To update the vehicles linked to your permit, log in to My Account and click "Manage License Plates."
As a friendly reminder, if you have yet to purchase your permit, please note that paid parking is required 24/7 when parking on campus. You can Buy or Renew your permit by logging into your parking account.
Thank you for your patience and awareness as the campus transitions into a new academic year. Let’s get things started on the right foot. Go Buckeyes!
