PY27 Faculty and staff permits are now available | Student permits on sale July 14

Ohio State faculty and staff can now purchase their 2026-27 annual permit. The waitlist for the student CG Permit opens on July 3, with sales launching on July 14 for all eligible students. Check out our Which permit is right for you? webpage if you need assistance with identifying permit options with your university-assigned classification. 

To get started with the purchasing process: 

  • Click “My Account” in the top-right corner  

  • Select “Buy or Renew a Permit” and follow the steps 

  • Once your order is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your permit details

  • Student permit sales kickoff on July 14 

 A few helpful reminders:  

  • Permit renewal timeline 

    • Current 2025-26 annual permits expire on July 31 

    • A new permit is required to park on campus August 1 or later  

  • Payroll deduction customers 

    • Renew by July 31 to avoid any interruption in parking access starting August 1

    • If the deadline is missed, customers will have to pay for the first month out of pocket until payroll deduction is reinstated 

 Permit Waitlists 

    • Faculty and staff permit waitlists opened June 8 

    • To join the permit waitlist for the 11G (11th Avenue Garage), BG2 (9th Avenue East Garage), BG3 (11th Avenue and Ohio Union North Garages), or BG6 (Old Cannon Garage), visit the permit page on the CampusParc website to get started 

    • First round of awards for all faculty and staff waitlisted permits will be distributed on June 22

    • The student CG Permit waitlist opens on July 3

 Keycard use & access 

    • Keep your current keycard if you already hold an annual permit, as it will continue to work once your new permit is purchased 

    • Physical keycards give you garage access (if included in your permit) and event parking 

    • First-time annual permit holders will receive a keycard by mail within 7–10 business days 

 QR code access 

    • Your keycard QR code is available 24/7 in your online parking profile and the Ohio State app 

    • New QR codes should appear the next business day after purchase 

 License plate requirements 

    • Parking is enforced using license plate readers 

    • License plates must be correctly linked to your permit to avoid citations 

    • Vehicles without front license plates are required to park head-in in surface lots campus-wide 

    • Manage your vehicles in your parking account below your parking QR code
