Optometry Clinic parking changes begin Monday, Nov. 2

Oct 13, 2020

To accommodate patients and visitors of the new Ohio State Optometry Services Clinic, which is scheduled to open in November, as well as the Ohio State Dentistry Clinic in 2021, A permit holders will no longer have peak-hour* access to 11th Avenue Garage as of 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2. Off-peak access will remain available.

Alternative A permit parking will be made available 24/7 (including peak hours) starting Nov. 2 in the following locations:

  • 9th Avenue East Garage, which is recommended for medical center, Health Sciences, Optometry, Dentistry, and any other employees working on or near the medical campus. Peak-hour patient and visitor parking will be removed from the garage at that time.
  • Ohio Union South Garage, which is recommended for Academic Campus employees working on or near South Campus.

Additional alternative parking locations include Neil Avenue Garage, Gateway Garage, and  9th Avenue West Garage.

These changes will impact A permit holders only. Any other permits with access to 11th Avenue Garage, including the staff BG3 permit and the student CPS permit, will not be affected and will continue to have access to the garage beyond Nov. 2.

*Peak hours are 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Off-peak hours are 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. weekdays and all day weekends.
