Ohio State's Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 9, bringing an alternate parade route and temporary changes to traffic patterns across campus.
Drivers traveling near the parade route should plan ahead, allow additional time, and follow posted signage and directions from law enforcement and traffic control personnel.
Parking Impacts
Several parking facilities will have modified traffic patterns during the parade.

Neil Avenue Garage: Vehicles exiting the garage may travel west on John H. Herrick Drive. Traffic control personnel will assist drivers through affected intersections, including Cannon Drive

12th Avenue Garage: Vehicles may exit west on John H. Herrick Drive. Drivers exiting toward 12th Avenue should follow posted signage and traffic control directions

Mid-Tower Lot: The lot will be captured beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 9

Lincoln Lot: The lot will be captured beginning at 12:01 a.m. Friday, October 9
Vehicles remaining in Mid-Tower and Lincoln lots are subject to relocation at the owner’s expense.

Wexner Medical Center Parking
- Traffic patterns around the Wexner Medical Center will also be affected
- Vehicles entering the Wexner Medical Center Garage must approach from 10th Avenue and Cannon Drive. Because Medical Center Drive West is southbound only, vehicles will not be able to approach the garage from the north via Medical Center Drive West
- Vehicles exiting the Wexner Medical Center Garage may use the normal outbound routes
Medical Center Staff Parking
- Medical Center employees working evening and night shifts should plan ahead when traveling to campus on Friday
- Staff who use weekend access to 9th Avenue East and West should approach their parking areas from the south. Employees should also be aware that the 12th Avenue southbound ramp to SR-315 will not be accessible during the parade
- Staff should allow additional time for their commute and plan an alternate route if needed
Plan Ahead
- The alternate parade route will result in temporary traffic changes throughout the area. Traffic control personnel will be stationed along affected roadways to help direct vehicles during the event
- Before traveling to campus, drivers should review their planned route and allow additional time to reach their destination. Follow all temporary signage and directions from law enforcement and traffic control personnel
CABS Impacts
- Due to College Road construction, the parade will follow a modified route through the Wexner Medical Center. CABS service changes are expected, with regular CABS service resuming once roadways reopen. Visit Transportation and Traffic Management’s website for more information on Homecoming closures
