To accommodate patients and visitors of the Ohio State Optometry Services Clinic and Ohio State dental clinics as the university begins to resume normal operations, peak-hour* A (faculty/A&P), A-EP (emergency physician), and E (faculty emeritus) permit access will be removed from 11th Avenue Garage as of Monday, Aug. 2. Off-peak access will remain available.
Alternative permit parking will be available in the 9th Avenue East, 9th Avenue West, Ohio Union South, Neil Avenue, and Gateway garages.
Peak-hour access for these permits was originally removed from 11th Avenue Garage on Nov. 2, 2020, to accommodate patients and visitors of the clinics. Because of the impacts of COVID-19 on the university community, occupancy in the garage remained available and peak-hour permit access was restored on a month-to-month basis beginning Feb. 8, 2021.
Other permits with access to 11th Avenue Garage, including the staff BG3 permit and the student CG7 and CPS permits, will not be affected and will continue to have peak-hour access to the garage beyond Aug. 2.
*Peak hours are 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Off-peak hours are 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. weekdays and all day weekends.
