Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycles are an efficient mode of travel and are welcome on the OSU campus.

Motorcyclists are required to park in two-wheel vehicle spaces during peak hours (5:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. weekdays) and are permitted to park in regular four-wheel vehicle spaces during off-peak periods (4:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. weekdays, all day on weekends). A current CampusParc motorcycle parking permit is required, unless the motorcycle is parked at a metered motorcycle space.

In addition to surface lot two-wheel vehicle spaces, motorcycles may be parked in SAFEAUTO, Neil Avenue, Ohio Union South, Lane Avenue, 9th Avenue East, and West Lane Garages.

Motorcycle permits are nontransferable and may not be transferred to any other motorcycle the permit holder may drive. Each motorcycle requires a separate permit. In addition, motorcycle permits cannot be transferred to another individual for parking use.

Overnight (3:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m.) and long-term motorcycle parking is available for motorcycles with an overnight storage permit in 9th Avenue East, Lane Avenue, and West Lane garages as well as the Carmack 5 Lot located on West Campus.

A motorcycle symbol on the parking map identifies the motorcycle parking areas on campus.

Visitor information regarding motorcycles can be found in the Visitor section of our website.
