Return & Refund Policies

Annual Permits

The cost of all annual permits, regardless of payment method, is prorated on the first calendar day of each month. The refund value is equal to the permit sale price for the proceeding calendar month of the permit year. The permit hangtag and garage access keycard, if applicable, must be returned to CampusParc before a refund will be issued. If the permit hangtag or keycard has been lost or stolen, a notarized affidavit attesting to the loss must be submitted before a permit can be considered returned and eligible for refund.

Faculty and staff who cancel their permit after the first of the month may receive a no-charge Temporary Multi-day (TM) surface permit marked for the permit’s corresponding surface access to use for the remainder of the current month. Customers are required to pay out of pocket for any additional parking days beyond the calendar month of return.

Customers who purchased permits through the university’s Pretax Payroll Deduction Program will have the refund value applied toward the outstanding balance of their payment plan. The current month’s proration will remain the responsibility of the employee, regardless of the reason for returning the permit, including separation. A payroll deduction cancellation form must be provided at the time of the permit return.

Customers who purchased an annual permit using a major credit card can opt to have the refund credited to the card used at purchase. Customers are required to produce the card at the time of their permit return to use this refund method. Otherwise, customers who purchased a permit in full will receive a refund via check. Customers will need to provide a U.S. address and should expect to receive their refund within four to six weeks.
